My husband does my hair all the time. At least once every month. I have a lot of grey, mostly at the roots. My hair is dark and it sure shows up a lot.

When he does it. He mixes the dye and starts at my roots and in back underneath....Then he uses all the solution to cover my entire head and rubs it in all over. I leave it on 45 minutes and rinse it...Then condition it. I have always had compliments on it and it works for me. Doing it this way...

The grey always goes a lighter brown and the rest is just a bit darker. but it looks good. With blond hair it might be different, I don't know. As you can see in my Avitar, it don't look bad...LOL

If the other looks like it has faded and needs to be pulled thru the ends..just leave it the last 5-10 minutes. That should lift it back up.

you should leave it on the grey for the full time in the instructions ,then pull through to the ends ( if they need refreshing) for only the last 5- 10 mins. If your grey is stubborn you can pre-soften by applying just the peroxide to the grey for 10 -15 mins before putting the colour on, this will open the cuticle for better colour deposit.

I have always used Loreal I always get 100% cover,tip don't try and go back to dark hair as you get older try going lighter its doesn't show so badly

Try Garnier Nutrisse. It comes with avocado oil to keep your hair soft and shiny along with an additional bottle of conditioner. I have problems with grey hair too and this brand seems to last the longest when covering the grey. If you want a shade suggestion, try Sweet Cola. It's a dark brown/black but wont make your hair so dark you cant change the color if you dont like it. Good Luck.

Go to a good hairdresser, take their advice. Maybe your hair needs some good intensive conditioning? The grey won't go - why not try a few highlights and low lights to mix it in. This can look very young smart and pretty. Do have these done at the good hairdresser though.

Sounds genetic. My maternal grandfather's hair started turning about the same time your's did; with the onset of puberty. By the time he was 15 his hair was totally white. He aquired the nickname 'Whitey' at that point. As I understand it, the white hair was what attracted my maternal grandmother, who was his faithful wife for nearly 80 years. So, my advice is to get used to it, and let it grow out natural. If people don't like you the way you are, what makes you think they will like a fake 'you' any better?

The solution to your problem seems simple.

You are too nervous and self conscious. It is proven that stress causes hair loss. You said that you are newly married and in a new country, that could cause much stress. Stop putting all of those products on your hair at once. Buy a simple, healthy shampoo and conditioner, you can buy one that is for thin hair or that says to add volume or body, you can even buy them for hair that has gray in it, if you need help with it being too corse. Pantene has a good one for that.

But........You can't really solve the hair loss without calming your self. I promise you that if you can just let yourself relax, and settle into your new marriage and lifestyle you will enjoy it so much more!! You said that you "HAVE" to socialize and that proves that you are pushing yourself. You are never gonna be happy if you are not being yourself, so let the self consciousness go and be yourself.

All of us have a level of vanity, and I admit I push mine to the extreme, but i don't cross over into it that it consumes me. And I work with what I have and have to be patient for the rest.

it the part of your exhaust that makes it run quietly you need to replace part of your exhaust system 9most likely the rear silencer

i don't think it is you cat converter as the inside of that is basically a specialized type off honeycombed foam these generally do not require renewing unless they become clogged or the casing gets split

The rear box in the exhaust has sound deadening material to reduce the exhaust noise. When this material breaks down it blows out of the exhaust looking like hair. Nothing really to worry about other then obviously needing to have the back box replaced.

The "silencer" or "back-box" section of an exhaust is filled with perforated steel baffles and fibreglass padding to reduce the noise coming from your exhaust.

When the exhaust gets past its "best before date" the fibreglass padding can break down and strands of it will be blown out of the exhaust tailpipe. This is the "hair" you've found.

You'll probably notice you're exhaust note get a little louder as more and more of it comes out.

So, as the answers above mine have stated, you will need to invest in a new exhaust before long.

Colour is fixed within the root under the skin so in the same way cutting hair does not allow the colour to leak out it cannot merely disappear from stress. Loss of hair very quickly from stress is not unheard of and if more dark than white hairs fall it may give the appearance of greying quickly.

I have long hair and on some there is a line at which the colour stopped being produced within the follicle and they change from mid brown to white.

if u want brown, u need to put red in first , then brown, then get some highlights or flood lights, best to got to the hairdressers, i use nice and easy as i have tons of gray hair, it works for me.

you can vary the shade each time u do ur hair, gray hair is much harder to dye than regular hair, pain i know, but hey natural highlights xx

OOOh, Grecian 2000 is awful stuff, greasy and you have to keep applying!! Yuk

Try a ladies temporary colour, you can get ones now with multi tone effect. These have FAR better results. I say temporary because it fades out very gradually and you don't get those tell tale roots showing. Then after 6 weeks, just do it again!

If you feel embarrassed, go to a larger store and say that your wife has asked you to get a temporary multi tone hair colour and you haven't got a clue!

I would most recommend Movida...but any well known brand will be fine. If your hair is short, only use about 1/3 of the mixture.

You must do a strand test first though.

well- to the ney sayers here- I can vouch for a few ladies I know that have a lot of grey hair and they *thought* they would quit coloring/highlighting...and they looked much older than what they did when they colored their hair.

The best thing to do is to go lighter with hair color rather than going dark or back to whatever your natural hair *used* to be. That is not as attractive.

It is well known that some people are prone to white hair after a shock or stressful times in their lives, and since you have had all this upheaval I would say it's good this is the only sign. I would respect my body and react to its cry for help by calming down, finding a way to reduce stress, dumping your old girlfriend and having good nice friends around to let off steam. White hair never killed anyone, and besides it looks very interesting on a man in my opinion. If it gets more and bothers you too much, you could always die it, but really your well being is most important now, don't think about your looks and definitely don't worry, worry is the biggest stress causing feeling a human could have. I started getting them @ 14,by the time I was 25,it was so bad I had to start dying it. I have dishwater blonde hair and I also asked them to make it one shade lighter. I had a out of town wedding to go to that weekend. I was horrified and in tears when it came out red. I had never colored my hair before in my life and am now too afraid to have them do anything more to me. Has anyone else had a bad experience with Mario Tricoci and is there anything that I might be able to do to get this embarrassing color out of my hair? I don't know how they could of gotten it so wrong but this experience with them has harmed me emotionally and I know that no matter how grey my hair gets I will never again color it. I would suggest going to another salon in the area and asking them to remove the color. also It's ovbious that you pull red, so you're going to have them counteract the red you pull you'll have to tell the new stylist that when you get it redone. There's not much you can do it fix it at home. Coloring is kind of a confusing science and some times it's hard to know what you're going to pull when coloring.

I am a cosmetologist wiith 10 years experence and i still get it wrong sometimes.

My main suggestion is to go back to where you had it done and ask them to fix it for free. if they don't then pretty much find some one new to do it.

I'm doing hairing coloring at the moment, it looks like your natural hair color is maybe a 6, 7ish. and your going to try to move up about 3 hair color and your don't need to bleach it at all. BUT! If you have highlights I suggest that you foil them, or fill. Because you will get an ashy tint to your hair if you don't and ash usual shows up in the color of green. Make sure you get it don't by someone good. and also if your hair is damanaged get some CAT ( which is alll protein) and treated it first, if you go to a hair dresser let them know you want a CAT treatment first. Because it helps you to maintain your hair keep it good, and also shine.

I found something at Sally Beauty called "Gray Magic". It's a liquid in a small plastic bottle, and you add drops of it to a portion of your hair color and apply that to the resistant gray areas first, then color the rest of your hair normally. I have found that the product really helps the color get into the gray hairs. Gray is really hard to penetrate with color. This was inexpensive and really works well. I've not found any consumer hair "dye" product, even permanent coverage L'Oreal, which my hair dresser says is the best, that works well for gray hair, but the Gray Magic + L'Oreal does it for me.

PS If you Google for Gray Magic, you will get info on it. It's a concentrated color additive.

I would not do this!! many over the counter colors that are designed for gray hair contain metallic salts, which are very bad for your hair. metallic salts can give your color a strange green metally look, and it makes any further color or chemical processing very difficult

I am naturally light brown/dirty blonde but have been bleaching my own hair w/ pro dye for ten years. It was a gorgeous platinum/light gold but not brassy, blonde and i went to this posh salon for dimension. (multi-dimensional "streaks" of 25% a really dark brown to match my eye brows/roots, 25% the platinum color it was, and 50% some warm but not orange color inbetween there to help them blend). She started foiling at 3:45 didn't get done until 9:30. When hair dryed, OMG!, it was GREYish-Greenish/ horrifying. (I paid extra to have this stylist do it because supposedly she was a "tier II"). She addmitted it was "ashy" and said shed try to fix it this morning. I went and she did a soap bath then a gloss with a bit of golden hue to warm it up. Nothing. did it again. Nothing. It isn't as bad but it is still definitley GREY/Green/ it looks like I stuck my head in a bucket of toxic waste. People are staring at me %26amp; my life is on hold till I get it fixed. What can i do? Please help, thx

Let me tell you, this women was a freaking idiot and she is suppose to be a PRO! Even when you are doing low lights over hair that has been bleached you need to put back the red tones in the hair before you put brown over it. Just like you would do if you were doing a full color over the hair. Your hair turned green because she put the brown dye with a green base right over your hair that was bleached,she needed to use a red filler with the brown hair dye. She put a golden hue to try to fix it! NO! Get your money back and do not let this women touch your hair again. You need to have hair color correction done by a real pro.. I know what you mean about putting your life on hold.I've been there,still trying to grow the mess out that a so called pro did to me. If you just want the color out try using Prell shampoo or Dawn dish detergent, it will fade the color out allot, make sure to use a good conditioner too. Good luck

Oh my god! NEVER GO BACK TO THAT LADY! It sounds like she had a problem mixing the color, and/or the color reacting to the way you bleach your hair. DO NOT go walking around with that hair anymore, run straight to the nicest salon in your area (it's worth it!) and book an appointment (request a coloring pro) and explain your story to them. Have them re-dye it for you and you should be good to go. If for some reason you are too low on $$ or some other reason, buy a specialty repairing shampoo and conditioner and wash with that and re bleach your hair. GOOD LUCK! I hope this helps....%26lt;3

Insist on getting your money back, then go to a beauty supply store, ask for advice from the people working there and get a friend to help you fix it at home. My friend had a similar experience and that's what she did. Or go to another stylist and let them clean it up but definitely Get Your Money Back.

Okay, you have to take corrective action.

First, put on a hat or headscarf. Run to your nearest H%26amp;M, American Apparrel, or even Target to pick up a headscarf or hat if you need a fashionable one to wear while you get this straightened out.

Second, go to the Salon and make a FUSS. Demand your money back. Wear your headscarf to the salon, and defiantly take it off while you're at the salon to show them how much your stylist messed up. She is supposed to know better about mixing dyes and coloring properly.

Once they give you a refund (they must, or you can report them to the Better Business Bureau for ruining your hair) put your hat back on and research for the best corrective colorist in your area. If I knew where you lived I could help. If you live somewhere major such as NYC, LA, or Chicago it will be relatively easy to find a well-known and respected Corrective Colorist.

If you do not, you need to do your research. Google for corrective colorists in your area and then research their name and salon to make sure the same thing did not happen to someone who went to them.

Next, make an emergency appointment at the salon by calling them and telling them about the problem you're experiencing. Let them know you need to get in as soon as possible. Be prepared to pay a lot of money and perhaps go in for several sessions of correcting. The stylist will probably have to strip your hair of the color that has recently been placed on it and will have to do some corrective work to get it to a reasonable color.

In the meantime take a bath, relax, read, and avoid all mirrors. Everything will work out in just a few days' time!

Even though you've been dying your hair at home for years, please do not try to correct your color yourself or with friends, unless they're a professional. Good stylists have gone through years of chemistry at college to teach them how dyes react with one another and what limitations they face when they're coloring and correcting.

Go to sally's or something like that and get Uncolor to lift the black. It will come out a very odd color.....but if you want unconventional....hey it might be just what you want!! Ehhh...where are you going to find gray haircolor? It's not like you are doing many performances, like on Broadway, so coloring your hair gray is pretty drastic. The gray sprays you can get for your hair around Halloween look realistic and you don't have to change the color of your hair. You can use black and white spray to create a gray color. P.S. I was in a play where we had to make an 8th grade girl look like a 65 year old woman
