my brother started getting grey hair as a teenager,im in my early thirties and its just starting to sprout.is it determined in the genes when you will grow them?

Pretty sure it is genetic. Don't worry about going really gray, though. I got my first couple of gray hairs in my early 30's as well, and while I'm not much farther on in years than that now (34), I still really don't have all that much more. Maybe a strand or two. Honestly, I'm the only one who even notices they're there. I know people in their 20's getting gray hair.
A friend of mine has an uncle who's Asian, and apparently where he's from (I can't remember which country) gray hair is a sign of wisdom. He's even got his first one framed. Could look at it that way.

i dont know, my sister went gray when she was like two. now she is salt and peper.....so is one of my best friends....he's a young adult! lol. i have gray eye brows.....??? i dunno

It's in the genes. Melanin gives thecolor and is the same stuff that makes our skin's color fair or darker. Melanin disappears, the hair turns grey or white.
