Grey Hair im fourteen!?

I have very dark brown hair it is medium thickness (used to be really thick then i got it thinned) and has all different layers. it is the one color ive never syed it before and recently ive noticed that ots going ggrey! not from the roots tho there are just like a few stray grey hairs here and there! what is this??

also i am getting it coloured so what should i do with it? what colour?

well dye ur hair in a dark color (no need to be that dark), to avoid grey color. try to rest.

im 18 and about 10% of my hair is gray it started when i was about....12 i also knew a girl at 10 who had all grey hair...i think its beautiful you should leave it.

My son is 15 with jet black hair and he also has a few grey hairs mixed in -- not many, but a few. With him, it's simply a lack of pigment in those hairs and nothing to worry about. This is natural and happens with many people but those with lighter hair don't notice it as much -- it's the people with dark hair such as yourself and my son who really notice the difference. If you color your hair a lot, the grey could be a reaction to the recent color change. However, if you start to get a lot of grey hair, it can be a sign of a thyroid problem (active or underactive) and you should have your parents take you to the doctor for a simple blood test. Also, if you're truly concerned, a visit to the doctor is in order if for no other reason than to give you peace of mind. As for coloring, go with whatever color you choose and the grey will be covered -- they may just appear a slightly lighter than the rest (sort of like highlights).

a lota people get greys at ur age...i had greys too still have a grey strand here and there...dont sweat it tho. i swear to u that probbaly 60 to 80 percent of ur school has at least a few greys stuck in their heads just like that...besides it might b e hereditary for premature greying and possibly hair loss for u...i dunno look at ur mums side...and ask the uncles that are blood related when they started going really grey and if they did start balding when that started happening. fyi balding and greying are not an all in one package..just tryin to give u a heads up on what else to look for when u start reaching ur mid 20's.

You're not the only 14 yr old with gray hair. I have two strands here and there. My friend has gray hair all over her head--- but in her case it's hereditary. I have grays because of stress.

For you it's most likely to be stress also. Stop freakin out! (I'll need 2 practice what I preach). If you find that it's not stress, then it's probably hereditary.

Since you want to dye your hair, dye it a lighter brown if that suits for you. And if your grays STILL grow back, it'll be less contrast because your hair will be a closer color to the grays.
