Since I don't know what 'public' hair is, I can't tell you ... but I do know that PUBIC hair (the hair around the genitals between your legs) DOES turn grey, but does so more slowly, possibly because of the small amount of 'exposure to light' it gets ...

Pubic hair also turns grey but very slowly compared to your head hair, the reason as per my belief your pubic region is not exposed to outside weather and hence not affected by atmospheric pollutants like sulphur dioxide, chlorine. Secondly I think there are more nutrients in that region for the pubic hair. Thanks
