That's a blond question if ever I saw one...

The grey hair doesn't make them look old. It makes them look like a freakin' Yorkie!

Maybe you don't need a dog.. the grey silver is a trait of the breed..

No you can't unless you get a mixed breed yorkie. Yorkies are partially known for their blue (grey) colour.

Yes, there are black and tan Yorkies....just stick to a breeder and not a pet store, they will give you straight advice as to any color changes as they mature...there is also a red, but the silver you're taking about is a "blue."

Colors as explained by the YTCA

Puppies are born black and tan and are normally darker in body color, showing an intermingling of black hair in the tan until they are matured. Color of hair on body and richness of tan on head and legs are of prime importance in adult dogs, to which the following color requirements apply: BLUE: Is a dark steel blue, not a silver blue and not mingled with fawn, bronzy or black hairs. TAN: All tan hair is darker at the roots than in the middle, shading to still lighter tan at the tips. There should be no sooty or black hair intermingled with any of the tan.

There can be black/tan yorkies. You can also look at silky terriers (practically the same kind of dog) to see if you like there coloring.

Read the yorkie standard. It is very specific what Yorkshire terriers are supposed to look like. I'm sure that you can find one but it would be considered a mismark. Some unscrupulous breeders charge more for mismarks because they are "rare". These colors are also a disqualification in the breed. Good breeders will not breed for this trait deliberately,

Look into a silky terrier. They look much like a yorkie but some of them are a beautiful black and tan.

If the traits of a Yorkie are not what you want, choose a different breed.
