My hair is going grey rather rapidly, I'm fed up colouring it, I would like to go completely gr

When I have coloured my greying hair with a brown clourant it never looks natural, I would much prefer my hair to be a dark grey allover - will I have to bleach my hair first or is there a grey colourant around that will colour my dark hair to grey? Hope this makes some sense?

Full-scale hair colouring and bleaching/colouring are a real drag; if you go for all grey you will probably need to do the latter.

I guess you are in the UK from your spelling of colour, so this is what I do. Worth a try. I buy "Harmony" which is a colour rinse which comes in a triangular-shaped box and costs under 鎷?.

Once a week, in the shower, I wash my hair with ordinary shampoo, rinse and pat dry.

Squeeze about an inch of the Harmony out and rub it into my hair. Then continue with the showering, after which, I rinse the Harmony out of my hair, so I am actually using it as one might use a Conditioner . Don't use the whole tube - it isn't necessary. A tube will last me about 5 washes.

For the first session you might want to leave the colour on a little longer so that the grey hairs pick up more colour.

Because it on my hair for such a short time, the grey hairs don't go dark brown but remain a sort of blonde/brown and blend in looking pretty natural.

A very cheap and, for me, a very effective, no hassle, treatment.

i would go to a pro - i think they will have to bleach and then dye the hair gray.

It would be easy to make a mistake here - so don't try it alone, or doing it yourself.

I dont think there is a grey colour - hence all the old people have a blue rinse, but maybe if you do dye your hair you will be in the same position when your roots start to show dark brown!

Go to a hairdresser for some advice. I dont think trying different packets of colour will achieve the look you want, will make it look worse.

Don't bleach grey hair it turns a funny colour, The only light colour grey hair can be apart from grey is a dark sandy colour. I have been colouring my hair for over 20 years because it started going grey at a young age. Why not stick to the light browns, don't use copper or auburn as the grey bits turn orange. There isn't any colouring to keep it grey, it will eventually turn white. If you decide on the brown make sure it is a permanent colour which will need done about every 6 weeks.

Hey! i happen to have grey hair from child hood,it's mixed with black hair and it sure looks gr8.over the years i have come to learn that colouring grey hair only makes it spread even faster.i have stopped using any colour dyes and decieded to leave it natural.Am only 21 and i wouldn't want my head to be covered in grey by the time i turn 40 you know!!! But hey speak to a specialised stylist am sure they'll be of gr8 help.Good luck

if you feel you must color your hair, then it is absolutely necessary for you to lighten your hair with a (bleach product) and then depending on the texture, density, elasticity, and condition of the hair, then the hair designer can determine what type of hair color will best suit your needs.(permanent,demi-color, staining color...) i believe this job needs to be put in the hands of a licensed professional. i am speaking from my own professional experience. there are other factors that must be considered when undertaking this type of project, such as: the condition of your hair at this time, will you need conditioning treatments first? what type of hair color has been used on it? remember hair color will not lift hair color. again, the "beauty industry" appears easy to many, however "a professional" does make the job look easy. yet there is a great deal more to chemistry than just mixing a few color bottles together. that is what hair color is all about. a chemical process. chemistry. thanks for allowing me to share this information with you.

to be honest it should be bleached first, then a toner applied as to the colour you finally want, this has probally been the problem before that this has not been done, once it has been bleached you can buy the colour toner yourself at any Sallys or a good chemist, there is some fantastic greyish colours around at the moment, so do not despair
